Eloyes Bessonette, 86 of Brookhaven, MS, was born on October 4, 1928 and passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at her residence in Brookhaven, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 30, 2015, at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven, MS. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Lawrence County in the Topeka area. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 849 Natchez Drive, Brookhaven, MS is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 5-7 pm at Brookhaven Funeral Home .

Mrs. Bessonette was preceded in death by her former husbands, Donald Bessonette and Ross Lambert; her father, Isom W. Walker; her mother, Ophelia Jones Walker; her brothers, Charles Walker, Haskell Walker, and Paul Walker; and her sisters, Mildred Brown and Patricia Ann Moncus.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynette Smith and her husband Shaffier of Brookhaven; her son, Reggie Day and his wife Pearl of McComb, MS; her grandchildren, Dean Walker and his wife Debbie of Brookhaven, Greg Walker and his wife Jennie, also of Brookhaven, and Jamie Day of Richland, MS; her
great-grandchildren, Jake Walker and wife Madeline , Ashley Walker , Blake Walker, and Stoney Walker, all of Brookhaven, and Mikala Day of Richland, MS; and her great great-grandchildren, Marianna Walker and Will Walker, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bessonette loved her family, but was especially devoted to her 3 grandsons. She also was an avid reader and a lifetime member of the Lawrence County Animal Rescue League. In Lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made to the Lawrtence County Animal Rescue League
