Mr. William Wallace Gandy, 92, of Hazlehurst, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020.   He was born on September 23, 1927 in Hazlehurst, Mississippi to James David and Jessie Mae Armstrong Gandy.

Mr. Gandy was a U. S. Army Veteran having served in WWII.   He was a retired sheet metal worker and a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Fay Carraway Gandy, daughter, Linda Gandy Pell, brothers, C.A. Gandy, Denver Gandy, Robert Gandy, Lee Van Gandy, Luke Gandy, John Gandy, Walter Gandy, Marion Gandy and sister, Linnie Mae Shirley.

He is survived by his children, Larry Gandy of Hazlehurst, Dwayne Gandy and Kay-Kay Gandy of Hamilton, Ohio, Sherry King and Robert King of Wesson, Tammy Caruthers and husband Stephen of Madison; son-in-law, Hal Pell of Hazlehurst; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and sister, Minnie Meadows of Jacksonville, Florida.

A private family graveside service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2020 with Rev. Billy Barnes and Rev. Van Windom officiating.  Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family would like to thank Virginia, Shelia, Vonn and Nita for your kindness, commitment and patience while caring for him.
