Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Newell will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday, December 27, at 12 o'clock noon with burial to follow in the New Sight Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held the same morning from 10:00 AM until time of the service.

Mr. Charles "Wayne" Newell, 75, of Wesson, MS passed away at his home on December 22, 2024. He was born to Hugh and Dorothy Newell on June 26, 1949.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother-in-law, Rev. John Harper.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Newell; his daughter, Stephanie Twiner; his grandchildren, Brittany Lambert (Landon), Chace Twiner (Rosie), and Emily Hart (Jonathan); and 15 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers, Willie Newell (Meri) and Jesse Newell (Linda); a sister, Faye Harper; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
