Graveside services for Viana May "Dinky" Travis will be on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS, at 2:30 PM. Bro. Leland Smith and Bro. Bobby McKay will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 12:30 until 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Travis, 82, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, June 16, 2021, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 17, 1938, in Mangum, LA, to Edwin Pailette and Mamie Duncan Pailette. She worked at King's Daughters Medical Center for many years. Dinky loved to sing and  was well known for her cooking.  She enjoyed her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents Edwin and Mamie Pailette; daughter Paula Partin; son Steve Travis; and 8 siblings.

Survivors are her husband of 63 years, Randolph Travis; children, Joe Travis, Lynne Travis and Tommy Travis (Susan); daughter-in-law Sandra Travis (Steve); brother Charlie Pailette; and a host of grandchildren and friends. And also her precious little dog Remmy.
