Funeral services for Velba Humble Lofton will be on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Ramah Baptist Church in McCall Creek, MS with burial to follow at Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ted Bowlin and Rev. Lonnie Case will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Lofton, 96, went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 19, 2016 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS. She was born on August 2, 1919 in Abilene, TX to Roy L. Humble and Ethel Butler Humble.

She was a member of Ramah Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her parents; her husband Earl C. Lofton; son Craig Lofton; one brother and two sisters.

Survivors are her daughters Carol Mixon and husband Len and Barbara McKlemurry and husband Michael, both of Brookhaven; son Kenneth Lofton and wife Judy of Magee, MS; daughter in law Theresa Lofton of Magee, MS; grandchildren Chris Taylor, Michele Lofton, Stephanie Lofton, Dustin McKlemurry, Corey Taylor, Ryan Lofton and Nicole Spurlin; great grandchildren Anna Taylor, Abby Taylor, Gabby Aultman, Jackie Aultman, William Herrin, Kayla Johnson, Curtis Spurlin, Ethan McKlemurry and Aiden McKlemurry; sister in law Louella Kornegay; and a host of nieces and nephews.
