Mr. Timothy M. Furr, 49, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on November 27, 2023, at Ochsner Medical Center. He was born on May 20, 1974, in McComb, MS, to Preston and Kathy Furr.

He worked for many years in the construction field, with the last 16 years being with I.C. Thomasson Engineering Firm as construction administrator, where he made many lifelong friends.

During his off time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting, with annual family fishing trips.

He was best known for cooking his famous dry rub ribs, gumbo, Thanksgiving turkey, and beignets.

When not at work he could be found around the yard doing various projects or in his recliner watching Swamp People.

He was preceded in death by his father, Preston M. Furr Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Leigh, son Anthony Davis and wife Alyssa, daughter Casey Murray and husband Trevor, daughter Laney Furr, and son Ethan Furr. Survivors also include mother Kathy Furr, sister Virginia "Candy" Warren, brother Jonathan King and wife Tracy, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and brother and sister in laws that he loved.

The Family would like to extend a special thanks to the Nursing Staff of Ochsner's MICU.

Services and visitation will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday December 1, 2023, in which visitation will start at 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Memorial service will start thereafter for any who would like to attend.
