Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia Williamson will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 11 o'clock in the morning; a visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 PM. Graveside services will take place at the Topisaw Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. David Moree will be officiating with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Williamson, 86, of Ruth, Mississippi passed away on May 4, 2025. She  was born on January 17, 1939 in Lincoln County, to Versie Ford Nations and Elsie Ethel Brister Nations.

She loved the outdoors, especially taking care of her yard and flower beds.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Winfred Williamson; brothers, Loyd, Leo, Carroll, Rex, Reggie, Curtis and Wes; sisters, Lanelle, Imogene, Gerley, Jan, and Jeanette.

Survivors include her children, Athena Burns (David), Wanda Rutland (Mike), Julie Sandifer (Mike); grandchildren, Richard Rutland (Kayla), Melane Vining (Gary), Nicole Sandifer, Trent Sandifer (Samantha), and Keith Burns; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Ryleigh, Kari Ana, Zoey, Wyatt, Swane, and Sawyer. She also leaves behind one brother, Don Nations along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
