Services for Sybil Dianne Allen Smith of Bogue Chitto are 11 am, Friday, December 10, at Gum Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, from 5-8 pm at Brookhaven Funeral Home and Friday, from 10-11 am at the church.

Ms. Smith, 77, passed on December 3, 2021, at Aston Court Retirement Community surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Lincoln County on October 3, 1944, to William Earl and Bernice Irene Allen of New Sight.

She was a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church, where she taught children's Sunday School for over forty years and served as church secretary for many years. She was a graduate of Wesson Agricultural High School.

Preceding her in death were her husband, James Carroll Smith; her mother and father.

Survivors are her daughters, Connie Harrell and husband, Michael, and Kim Neal and husband, Jessie, both of Brookhaven; a brother DeLynn Allen and wife, Darlene; three grandchildren, Taive Nations and wife, Ali; Meagan Allred and husband, Bradley; Alex Neal and wife, Jordan; three great-grandchildren, Ruby and Henry Allred, and Abel Nations; and a host of of family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Gideon's International, the Baptist Children's Village or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
