Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Stevie Joe Moak will be on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at  Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Dr.) at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in the Monticello Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Rev. Brian Anderson will be officiating the services. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

Mr. Moak, 65, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS.  He was born on August 15, 1954, in Lincoln County, MS, to Roy Lee Moak and Alice Mae King Thompson. He was a member of River of Life UPC Church; worked for many years as a boat captain; and enjoyed living life to the fullest. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Roy Moak Jr. and Troy Moak; his sisters, Barbara Jean Moak and Olline Fuller Mixon.

Survivors are his wife of 8 years, Peggy L. Moak; his daughter, Melaney Etheridge;  grandchildren, Adele and Julia Etheridge; brothers, James Moak and Tom Fuller; sisters, Brenda, Patsy, Shelia, Mildred, Frances, and Mary; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Silver Cross, especially Mrs. Bernestine and Mrs. Kim.
