Graveside services for Mr. Sidney "Boo" Spencer, Jr. will be on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Bogue Chitto Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, MS, at 10:30 AM with burial to follow. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on the same day from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM.

Mr. Spencer, 90, of Hazlehurst, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at Clinton Health Care Graveside Center in Clinton, MS.  He was born on September 30, 1929, in Bogue Chitto, MS, to Sidney Spencer, Sr. and Cordelia Amanda Brister Spencer. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Hazlehurst, MS, served in the United States Navy, and was a Mason. He worked for many years as a salesman for Pet Dairy and Fisher Fire Extinguisher and enjoyed fishing, traveling, and fixing things for others. Boo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Dorothy Leggett Spencer; and brother, William Calvin Spencer.

Survivors are his sons, Sidney Spencer III and wife Dee and Benjamin Troy Spencer, both of Clinton, MS; daughters, Dorothy Cheryl Spencer of Brandon, MS and Virginia "Nan" Bryant and husband Ace of Raymond, MS; 9 grandchildren;  7 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
