Funeral services for Ryan Patrick McCaffrey Bateman will be on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 9:30 AM with burial to follow in the JB Russell Family Cemetery in Ruth, MS. Bro. Jeff Davis will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday, January 4, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 8:30 AM until the time of service at 9:30 AM.

Ryan, 29, of Ruth, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on August 24, 1989, in Brookhaven, MS, to Darriel Patrick McCaffrey and Nova Gunnell York. He enjoyed watching television, wrestling and people. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, J B and Doris Russell, Carroll Joe Gunnell, and Robert Allen.

Survivors are his mother, Nova Gunnell York; father, Darriel Patrick McCaffrey and wife Nicole; brother, Justin Bateman; grandparents, Dorothy Allen, Darriel McCaffrey and wife Virginia, Judy Harrison and husband Ronnie, Judy Gunnell, and Ouida McCaffery; a special caregiver, Toya Humphrey; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Thomas Gunnell, Russell Paul Gunnell, Koby Brady, Thomas Blaylock, Justin Johnson and Tony Carter.
