Funeral services for Rudolph F. Rutledge will be at 1p.m. on January 30, 2023 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brookhaven. Visitation will be on January 29, 2023 from 5p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Brother Zack Kilpatrick will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of assignments.

Rudy went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on October 17, 1942 in Epps, Louisiana. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing bingo, relaxing on the back porch, laughing with friends and telling stories.

Preceding him to glory are his parents Sam and Bethel, brother Donald and sister Billie Jean Rutledge.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister-in-law Dorothy Rutledge, Aunt Betty Smith and Polly Cunningham, nephews Ian (Missy) Rutledge and Glenn Rutledge. Niece Kay Gibson. Great nieces and nephews Cole, Gracie, Christina, Nick and Montana and all of his church family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Copiah Living Center in Crystal Springs. Thank you for loving our Rudy as much as we do.
