Funeral services for Mr. Rodney Dale Case will be on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Arlington Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Arlington Baptist Church on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM.

Rodney Case, 82, of Smithdale, MS, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born on August 7, 1941 in Brookhaven, MS to Finas Olin Case and Luna Mae Wilson Case. He was a member of Arlington Baptist Church. He worked in the sawmill industry all of his life.  He enjoyed everything outdoors. "Papa Rod" cherished visiting with his grands and great grands. He enjoyed going to the "Old House" for family gatherings and boiling peanuts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Finas and Luna Mae Case; great granddaughter Maley Case; sister Edith Case; and son-in-law Ken Carwyle.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Gloria Jean Jordan Case; children Lorri Brown, Larry Dean Case (Tracey), and Lisa Carwyle; grandchildren Holli Touchstone (Timothy), Kelsey Kyzar (Jason), Chase Carwyle (Heather), and Ethan Case (Anna); great grandchildren Trevor Touchstone, Casen Carwyle, Carter Carwyle, Lexie Case, Kasyn Kyzar, Kaitlyn Kyzar, Elizabeth Brown, McAleigh Brown, Anna Brown, Harper Brown, Cayden Brown, Marshall Paul Brown; sisters Virgie Watts (Johnny) and Johnnie Summerlin (Jimmy); and many nieces and nephews.
