Funeral services for Mr. Robert D. Wallace will be on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Brookhaven Funeral Home in (Natchez Drive) Brookhaven, MS, at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Sutton Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, MS. Bro. (Ronnie Robinson) will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Sunday, October 14, 2018, from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM.

Mr. Wallace, 79, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at his residence in Bogue Chitto, MS. He was born on May 6, 1939, in Bogue Chitto, MS, to Cleveland and Marie Wallace. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church; worked for many years at Piggly Wiggly in Brookhaven as a butcher; and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Anita Wallace; grandson, Brandon E. Wallace; sister, Marjorie Leggett; and brothers, Dewey Wallace and Carl Wallace.

Survivors are his wife, Mary M. Wallace; daughters, Melinda Beth VanNorman and husband Tim, and Margie Diane Hastings, both of Bogue Chitto, MS; son, Bobby Wallace and wife Marilyn of Summit, MS; grandchildren, Rebecca Wallace, Elizabeth Wallace, Kandice Wallace, Haylee Wallace, Brandon Wallace, Tyler Wallace, Selena Wallace, Donald Hastings, Deidra Boyd and husband Ben, and Brooke Puckett and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Kason Hastings, Brelynn Hastings, Nathan Puckett, Ryder Puckett, Tabbitha Boyd and Matthew Boyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
