Dr. Robert Haynes Perry, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 14, 2017. He was born on January 1, 1933, in Hattiesburg, MS. He graduated from Greenville High School and Clarke College in Newton. He attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and received the Master and Doctor of Theology degrees from Luther Rice Seminary, Jacksonville, Florida. He pastored many churches throughout the state including Emmanuel Baptist, Greenville; New Palestine Baptist, Picayune; Hanging Moss Baptist, Jackson; First Baptist, Raleigh; First Baptist Waynesboro; Macedonia Baptist, Brookhaven.

He was preceded in death by his father Rev. M.E. (Otis) Perry, his mother Edna Inez Perry, and his brother Colonel (USAF) Matthew E. Perry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Helen Warnock Perry, and four children: Robert Haynes "Bobby" Perry, Jr. (Stacey); Ann Butler (Miles); Lynn Garrett (Wendell); Kay Holmes (David). He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Brett and Blake Butler; Sam and Haley Garrett; Shelby and Haynes Perry; Victoria and Emily Holmes.

Visitation will be held on April 17, 2017 at Brookhaven Funeral Home, Brookhaven, MS, from 1:00-2:00 with service following. Interment will be held on April 18, 2017, 11:00 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville, MS.
