Robert Theo Nunnery's Obituary
Mr. Nunnery, 78, of Smithdale, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 28, 1939, in Lincoln County, MS, to James W. and Myrtis Boggs Nunnery. He was a retired boilermaker; was a member of Arlington Baptist Church; and enjoyed woodwork, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
Preceding him in death were his parents, James W. and Myrtis Boggs Nunnery; wife, Mary Blair Nunnery; daughter, Lola Wooten Dison; sisters, Margret Nunnery, Estelle Nunnery Allen, Eloise Nunnery Hagen, Florine Nunnery Oliver and Bobby Nell Nunnery Martin; brothers, John Owen Nunnery and J W Nunnery; and grandson, Curtis Gunnell.
Survivors are his wife of 17 years, Helen Green Nunnery; sons, Wayne Nunnery and wife DeDe of Bogue Chitto, MS, and Sam Wooten and wife Laura of VanCleave, MS; daughters, Shonna Nunnery Lofton and husband Butch of Smithdale, MS, Brenda Wooten Horton and husband Mike of Bogue Chitto, MS, Cindy Wooten Rushing and husband Ronald of Brookhaven, MS, Carol Wooten Roberts and husband Michael of Bogue Chitto, MS, Sarah Wooten Oliver and husband Jason of Brookhaven, MS, and Molly Wooten Walker and husband Willie of Brookhaven, MS; sister, Delorise Nunnery Mitchell; grandchildren, Luke Lofton, Kody Wayne Nunnery, Hope Lofton Martin, Kory Nunnery, Jason LeBlanc, Abby Oliver, Josh Oliver, Annie Burnette, Grant Rushing, Allie King, Hanna Brogden, Benjamin Roberts, Bradley Roberts, Warren Mazer, Lauren Wooten, Trey Wooten, Alayna Wooten, and Sunie Bridges; 17 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Luke Lofton, Kody Wayne Nunnery, Kory Nunnery, Chris Martin, Josh Oliver, Grant Rushing, Benjamin Roberts and Bradley Roberts. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Oliver and Jason LeBlanc.
