A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Robert Douglas Berryhill III – "Doug" -  will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on the afternoon of Sunday, August 18, at 3:00, with burial to follow in the Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithdale, Mississippi. Elder Shane Arnold and Elder Luke Addison will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 o'clock noon until time of service.

Doug Berryhill, 49, of Smithdale, Mississippi, passed from this life on August 15, 2024.  He was born on March 14, 1975 to Robert Douglas "Bobby" Berryhill, Jr. and Robin Theresa Berryhill. Doug was a log truck driver and drove for Triple P Trucking. He enjoyed the simple things of life, spending time with his family and friends; he was always the one with something to say and was the life of the party wherever he was. He loved riding his motorcycle with his brothers, and spending time outdoors; he especially enjoyed taking kids hunting and then telling the stories afterwards. Many youth hunters took their first deer while on a hunt with Doug.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Douglas Berryhill and Bonnie Coward Berryhill, and Joddie Scroggs.

Survivors include his wife, Trena, and his parents; a brother, Allen Berryhill (Tanya); a sister, Heather Thompson; two nieces and a nephew, Katelyn Berryhill, Memorie Smith, and Ellis Thompson;  his step-children, Sabrina Norris (Andrew), Trace Wallace, Destiny "Big Head" Haas (Jesse), and Kacey Allred; and six step-grandchildren; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and friends, and three special hunting buddies, Precious, Princess, and Tripod.
