Funeral services for Mr. Robert (Bobby) Carroll Shows, Jr. will be on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Rev. Glen Shows will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

Mr. Shows, 75, passed away on Sun., Sept. 3, 2017. He was married 52
years to Peggy Jane Terry of Longview, TX.

Bobby was an ordained minister, Director of Activities in Southern Baptist Churches in Mississippi, Louisiana and Missouri and on staff at the Missouri Baptist Convention. He was the Founder and Director of Sports Crusaders Ministry, a basketball referee and a basketball coach. He received a Master Degree and Bachelor Degree from Mississippi State University. He played on three SEC Championship teams and went to the Game of Change at the NCAA tournament in 1963.

Bobby is also survived by two children: Doug Shows and wife Corinne, and Cynthia Shows Walker and husband Lt. Colonel Steve Walker (Ret.); 4 grandchildren: Ashley and John Shows and Cole and Caleb Walker; 1 great-grandson, Arthur Goehner; 11 nephews and nieces and many great-nephews and great-nieces. He has 2 brothers: Scotty Shows and wife Judy and Glenn Shows and wife Kathy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Carroll Shows and Jenny Lucile Berry Shows.
