Funeral services for Mr. Richard D. Reeves will be on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, MS, at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Roe Burns will be leading the services and Bro. Brandon Lynch will be officiating with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Mr. Reeves, 65, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. He was born on January 29, 1957, in McComb, MS, to Roy and Mildred Reeves. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church; worked for many years in the glass business and for the last 11 years as a truck driver for Gatlin Feed; and enjoyed working with his hands, going to the mountains and time spent with his grandkids. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Edna Brewer; brother Wayne Reeves; sister-in-law, Sue Reeves; and brothers-in-law, Alan Wallace, John Edwards, Joe Landreneau, Calvin McCaffery, and Gavin Brewer.
Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Norma Reeves; daughters, Brittany Wallace (Matthew) and Natasha Wallace (Tommy); sisters, Shirley Landreneau, Barbara Edwards, and Sharon McCaffery; grandchildren, Tyler Wallace, Hunter Reeves, Tanner Reeves, Shellby Wallace, and Jadelyn Wallace; brothers-in-law, Roger Wallace (Kehma), Don Wallace (Janet), and Ken Wallace (Rhonda); sisters-in-law, Kay Burns (Roe) and Missy Wallace; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers are Tommy Wallace, Matt Wallace, Corey Wallace, Timmy Wallace, Chancy Wallace, and Casey McCaffery. Honorary pallbearers are Don Wallace and Ken Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN.
