Graveside services for Mrs. Rhonda G. Smith will be on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at 2:00 PM in Brookhaven, MS, with burial to follow in the Easthaven Cemetery. Bro. Greg Warnock will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at the graveside on the same day from 1:00 P M until time of the service at 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Smith, 65, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Monday, May 18, 2020, at home with her loving family by her side.  She was born on May 25, 1954 in Brookhaven, MS, to Jimmie Gillis and Vera Mae Brown Gillis. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven, MS; worked for many years as a sales representative at Liz-Beth's in Brookhaven, MS; and enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Vera Mae Brown Gillis.

Survivors are her father, Jimmie Gillis of Brookhaven, MS; husband, Danny Fred Smith of Brookhaven, MS; daughters, Lacey Zumbro and husband Lee of Brookhaven, MS and Marcie Tapper and husband Shane of Brandon, MS; son, Dustin Smith and wife Leah of Brookhaven, MS; grandchildren, Dawson, Baylee Claire, and Paxton Zumbro, Harley, Rocco, and Cooper Smith, and Kaitlyn, Mallory, and Cayman Tapper; sister, Vicky Gillis Smith; and a host of family and friends.
