Services for Retha Shook Smith will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at New Hope Methodist Church in Loyd Star, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. Mike Lips will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be prior to funeral service on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Smith, 61, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS with her loving husband by her side. She was born on March 28, 1957 in Rome, GA, to Ralph and Ruby Shook. She was a member of New Hope Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting and doing leatherwork. She was a loving wife, daughter-in-law and friend.

Preceding her in death were her father, Ralph Shook and brother Russell Shook.

Survivors are her husband, Kirk Smith; daughters, Amanda and Stephanie; 4 grandchildren; mother Ruby Shook; and a host of family and friends.
