Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Rushing Roberts will be held at New Prospect Baptist Church (Brookhaven, Mississippi), on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1 o’clock in the afternoon; the family will receive visitors at the church on the same day from 12 o’clock noon until time of services. Graveside services will take place in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers include Brad Lewis, Marty Lewis, Jamie Jones, Mark Jones, Eli Rushing, and Jack Rushing. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Rushing and Jacob Rushing.

Rebecca Louise “Becky” Rushing Roberts, 52, passed away in Mobile, Alabama, on Thursday, August 13, 2026; she was born in Jackson, Mississippi, November 12, 1973, to Clovis and Barbara Caver Rushing.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Elem and Velma Rushing, and Bill and Irma Caver; an aunt, Gloria Owens; five uncles, Gaddis Owens, Billy Caver, Tom Lewis, Wayne Currie, and Jimmy Sheppard; and her cousins, Ric Jones, Jaret Rushing, Jimmy Caver, and Johnny Caver.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her children Gershom Ellis (Lori), Elam Ellis, and Emma Grace Ellis; her mother, Barbara Caver; and father, Clovis Rushing (Jeannie); and her brother, Todd Rushing (Lesley); along with her nephews Eli & Jack Rushing, and niece Avery Rushing. She also leaves behind her uncles and aunts, J.B. Rushing (Martha), Opal Currie, Sheila Stewart (Stanley), Tommy Caver, Sue Sheppard, Suzanne Caver, and Jim Caver (Melanie); and a host of cousins, extended family, friends, and husband, Ray Roberts.
