Mrs. Ramey Leighanne Courtney Querns, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on July 15, 2023, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on October 3, 1997, in Brookhaven, MS, to Shannon Courtney and Brandy Bates. She was a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church and worked various jobs. Ramey obtained her Pharmacy Technician license and was presently working toward a degree in Psychology. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her maternal grandmother, Martha Russell; paternal grandfather, Bernie Courtney; paternal great-grandparents, Edgar Ray and Johnnie Wilson; and maternal great grandfather, Edwin Russell.

Survivors are her husband, Michael Gage Quern; children, Hailyne Courtney and Adrian Querns; mother, Brandy Bates; father, Shannon Courtney (Christa); paternal grandmother, Patricia Courtney Gardner; maternal grandfather, James Bates; maternal Great-grandmother, Maggie Russell; sisters, Ragan Courtney (Alex), Courtney Freeman (Austin), Iris Spurlin (Andrew); stepfather, Robert Turnage (Rebecca) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
