Funeral services for Preston M. Furr, Jr., will be on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Mallalieu UMC Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 15, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Mr. Furr, 68, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 13, 1951, in Brookhaven, MS, to Preston M. and Kathleen Walley Furr. He was a member of Mallalieu United Methodist Church; was a retired construction worker and mechanic; and enjoyed fishing, cutting grass, and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and sisters, Mary E. Furr and Juanita Ann Smith.

Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Katherine Bales Furr; children, Virginia Kathleen Warren, and Timothy M. Furr (Leigh); honorary son, Jonathan King (Tracy); sister, Betty L. Furr; grandchildren, Courtney Johnson (Seth), Anthony Davis, John "JJ" Warren (Kitty), Casey Davis Furr, Laney Rae Furr, and Ethan Monroe Furr; great-grandchildren, Emianne Grace Johnson; honorary grandchildren, C J Earnest and Shelby Lin Posey; honorary great-grandchildren, Lyndee Earnest and Bentleigh Griffing; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Leonard Wallace, Jr., Richard Wallace, James Corey Smith, J C Smith, Seth Johnson, and Freddie Bales. Honorary pallbearer is David Bales, Jr.
