October 11, 2021- surrounded by his family Mr. Perry Calvin Spencer entered into his eternal home! He was born on September 19, 1927 and LIVED UNTIL HE DIED WITH NO UNCERTAINTIES ABOUT HIS FUTURE! He leaves behind his wife of 72 years Mrs. Loretta Brister Spencer; three sons, Perry E. Spencer (Delilah), Bruce Spencer (Angie) and Jimmy Spencer. His pride and joy were 12 beautiful grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, all of which adored him!

He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Benjamin Harrison Spencer and Ida Celeste Spencer; daughter Sue Spencer Errington; brothers James Spencer, Loren Spencer, Bennie Spencer and Gene Spencer; sister Wanda Spencer Lewellyn; and one great-great grandchild Levi Givens.

Mr. Perry was born and raised in Illinois- spent time in the Army out of high school and then in the oilfield which brought him to our part of the country!! Upon retirement from the oilfield he and Ms. Loretta bought into the dairy Industry and dairied for years together until several years ago when they sold out and his love for the FARM, the OUTDOORS, BUILDING BIRD HOUSES, CARVING BIRDS and PAINTING…..YOU NAME IT….Has kept him busy since!!

ONE YEAR AGO HOSPICE MINISRERIES took over his care! WE could not have been more BLESSED! WHAT A MINISTRY NOT JUST FOR THE PATIENT BUT FOR THE FAMILY! We are so grateful for THEM- for BROOKHAVEN FUNERAL HOME- AND FOR our PASTOR- BRO. JONATHAN GUERRY- AND TWO DEVOTED CAREGIVERS, JENNIFER TOUCHSTONE AND BRIDGET SMITH.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Heucks Retreat Baptist Church, 2167 Heucks Retreat Road NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
