Mr. Percy Ollian Wilson, 88 of Brookhaven, died Oct 12, 2022 at the Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland,

Ms. He was born on May 3, 1934 in Lawrence County to James Gola and Annie Carr Wilson. Later Moved

to Nola Rd., Brookhaven where he spent most of his life growing up, marrying and raising his family.

He attended Heucks Retreat School where he enjoyed playing on the basketball team until he

graduated. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

He worked at the Daily Leader for many years as the printing press foreman and later retired from

Hartley Gove Thermometer plant.

He loved hunting and fishing with friends but loved to farm. He planted sunflowers later in life and

enjoyed people stopping by to admire and take pictures with their love ones.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Palma Jean Case Wilson, his parents, James Gola and

Annie Carr Wilson. Brothers, James Ollie Wilson and Jack Osby Wilson and one sister, Winnie Wilson

Boylston of South Carolina.

He is survived by his son, Mark Jeffrey Wilson and wife, Pam of Florence, Ms; Grandson, Jason Wilson

and wife, Kory of Brookhaven; Granddaughter, Danielle Wilson Richardson and husband, Carey in

Northport, Alabama and one Step Grandson, Ryan C. Roberts and wife, Michelle of Florence, Ms.

He is also survived by a very special friend of many years, Jenny McDavid. He greatly cherished

the friends that he had that lived nearby and always looked forward to seeing them, whether to go fishing,

hunting or just catching up.
