Nita Pearl Watts Wilson, 84, passed away from this life on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst, MS. Mrs. Wilson was born in Brookhaven, MS to Pearlie Watts and Eva Smith Watts.

Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Damascus Baptist Church in Franklin County at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 16, 2015. She will lie in state at the church from 9:00 AM till time of service. Burial will follow the service at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. She was a retired factory worker and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Wilson; her parents; one sister and four brothers.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughters, Rita Smith and husband Greg of McCall Creek, MS, Karen Britt and husband David "Red" Britt of Loyd Star, MS, Debra Gladden and husband Robert of Hazlehurst, MS; sons Jimmy Wilson and wife Beth of Roxie, MS and Tommy Wilson and wife Shirley of Meadville, MS; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; four sisters, Gladys Smith, Mary Alice Strong,Francis Hall and Helen Huffman.
