Mrs. Gregg passed away Friday evening, May 10, 2024, at Plainview Assisted Living in Richland, MS. She was born February 12, 1923, to Lee Corban and Lenora Adams Corban in Bogue Chitto, MS. She moved to Meadville in 1939 and graduated from Meadville High School in 1940. After graduating from high school and attending Copiah Lincoln Jr. College, her first employment was secretarial work with the National Housing Agency in Washington, D.C. Later, she and Mr. Gregg moved to Brookhaven and worked as a legal secretary for the law firm of Jones and Stratton. In 1958 they started a small office supply business working out of their renovated garage and later located their business named Gregg Office Machine Company in downtown Brookhaven which they operated until their retirement in 1984.
She was a very loyal and faithful member of the First Baptist Church and served as a worker in the Nursery Department of the church for many years.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 61 years, William Barney Gregg; her parents, four brothers, three sisters, and a great-grandson, Joshua William Danielson.
Survivors include her son, Don William Gregg (Marilyn) of Columbus, GA; her daughter, Marsha G. Pittman (Bill) of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Joseph Gregg (Yoko) of Osaka, Japan; Tyler Pittman of Brandon, MS; Amber Pittman Danielson (Patrick) of the Woodlands, TX; five great-grandchildren, Luke, Zach, and Katelyn Danielson; Nina and Toki Gregg.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Brookhaven or to a charity of your choice.
Much gratitude to the staff of Plainview Assisted Living and Enhabit Home Health Hospice for their dedication and excellent care they provided to Mama during the several years she was a resident.
A special thank you to Brother Greg, Tracey Floyd, Dr. Roy Daughdrill and Brother Mike Burt for honoring our mother through their participation in the service.
