Obituary

Funeral services for Nancy Shirley Priest will be on Monday, October 30, 2017, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Crystal Springs City Cemetery in Crystal Springs, MS. Bro. Jimmy Arrington will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Sunday, October 29, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Monday, October 30, 2017, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Priest, 81, of Crystal Springs, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at her residence in Crystal Springs, MS, with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 7, 1935, in West, MS, to Sidney Clay and Lela Cook McGehee. She was of the Baptist faith; was a retired seamstress from Mr. T's Apparel; and enjoyed reading, cooking and word puzzles and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Sidney Clay. and Lela Cook McGehee; husband, William A. Priest; grandson, Rodney "Buster" Smith; sisters, Annie Ruth McGehee and Myrna Jean McGehee; and brothers, Veron Leo McGehee, Don McGehee, Sidney Clay McGehee Jr., and Dink McGehee.

Survivors are her son, Tony R. Priest of Crystal Springs, MS; daughters, Theresa Priest Grigsby, Debbie Priest Smith and husband Rodney Smith, Peggy Priest Smith and husband Donald, Tammy Priest Girault, Bonnie Priest LeGear and husband Clyde, and Patty Priest Knight and husband Kenneth, all of Crystal Springs, MS; brothers, Paul McGehee, and David McGehee; sisters Estelle McGehee Allen and Nell McGehee Burelle; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Darrell Smith, Doug Girault, Keith Smith, Patrick Smith, Drew Knight, Dean Grigsby, Eric Pennington, Shane Howell and Michael Strife.
