Funeral services for Maxine Pickett will be on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Beauregard United Methodist Church in Wesson, MS at 12 PM with burial to follow in the Beauregard Cemetery in Wesson, MS. Bro. Michael Assink will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Beauregard United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 10 AM until time of the funeral service at 12 PM.

Mrs. Pickett, 89, of Wesson, MS, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 8, 1928 in Beauregard, MS, to Walter E. Howington and Jessie Lowery Howington. She enjoyed playing golf, sports of all kinds, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Pickett coached girl's softball and enjoyed playing basketball in high school. She was retired from Potter Company in Wesson, MS and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Walter and Jessie Howington; husband Mack G. Pickett; grandson, Russ Pickett; and brother, Buddy Howington.

Survivors are her; sons, Eddie Pickett and wife Tina of Brookhaven, MS and Tracy Pickett of Wesson, MS; grandchildren, Trish Smith, Allyson McDonnieal and husband Grant, Chase Pickett and wife Anna, and Blake Pickett; great grandson, Gunner Smith; sister Donis Foster; and a host of family and friends.
