Funeral services for Mavis Ratcliff will be on March 20, 2021, at Macedonia Baptist Church 1230 Macedonia Church Rd in Brookhaven, MS, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Dr. Garland Boyd, and Bro. Nathan Case will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM from 9:00 until 11:00 AM.

Mavis S. Ratcliff left this life for the next on March 16, 2021. She was a wonderful Christian woman who loved her Lord, her church, and her family. Her price was for above rubies.

She was born in Lincoln Co. on April 24 ^th 1921, the first of four daughters born to Oscar J Smith and Eulus Britt Smith.

Preceeding her in death were her parents,  her husband Sidney Ratcliff, her sister Gladys Hester, her Sons-in-law, John M Laird Jr. and Neal Lewis, and her Great Grandson Evan Walker .

Those left to cherish her memory are her Son Carroll Ratcliff and Wife Amy, her Daughters Brenda Laird and Sandra Lewis. Grandchildren Lora Hedgepeth (Danny), Chris Haley, Pam Walker (Gary), Michelle Bland (Brad), Lance Lewis (Christi), Susan Thames, Cassie Jannise (James), Jolynne Butler ( Kevin), 17 Great Grandchildern, 8 Great Great Grandchildren, her sisters, Gertie Ratcliff and Lexie smith.
