Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Woods Wilson will be on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Brookhaven Funeral Home in (894 Natchez Drive) Brookhaven, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Bethshan Cemetery in Monticello, MS. Rev. Peter Lanigan and Rev. Gerald Cantore will be officiating the services. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 19, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Wilson, 83, of Monticello, MS, passed from this life on Monday, December 17, 2018, at the Lawrence County Nursing Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 31, 1935 in Martinsville, MS, to Clarence Hulbert Woods and Jewel Hutson Woods. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, working in the yard, and watching classic movies. She loved to visit with her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James Earl Wilson; her son, Donald Ray Wilson; her sisters, Louise Woods Young and Christine W. "Alma" Barlow; and her brothers, Charles, Clarence, and Robert Woods.

Survivors are her son, James W. Wilson and wife Yukari; her daughter, Debra Lambert and husband Carl; her daughter-in-law, Anna Stewart Wilson; 6 grandchildren, Rebecca, Amy, Angelia, Billy, Kevin, and Brandi; 13 great grandchildren, and 1 (due in April, 2019) great-great grandchild; and a host of family and friends.
