Marion Webster Allmon's Obituary
Mr. Allmon, 91, passed from this life on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at his residence in Union Church, MS, with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 2, 1925, in Whitewater, MO, to Hugh C. and Tessie L. Proffer Allmon. He was an active member of the Masons for 70 years and was a member of the John C. Galbreath Masonic Lodge in Pleasant Hill Community, MS. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Hugh C. and Tessie L. Proffer Allmon; brother, James W. Allmon; and son-in-law, Dr. Perry N. Duggar.
Survivors are his wife of 70 years, Virgene G. Poinsett Allmon; daughter, Carol Allmon Duggar of Jackson, MS; son, Tom Allmon and wife Jodie of Muldrow, OK; grandchildren, Daniel Allmon and wife Laura, Susan Allmon Schenk and husband John, Faith Cable and fiancé Clayton Brister, and Jennifer Allmon Thaggard and husband Andy; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Angela Jackson, RN and the staff of Hospice Ministries of Brookhaven.
