Funeral services for Marilyn S. Hart will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS, at 12:00 Noon with burial to follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Bro. Zach Kilpatrick will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

Mrs. Hart, 82, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Friday, March 18, 2022, at home with her loving family by her side.  She was born on May 7, 1939, in Brookhaven, MS, to Lee Smith and Lucille Walker Smith. She was a life-time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She worked for many years as the owner and bookkeeper of Hart's Refrigeration. Mrs. Hart enjoyed crafting, sewing, cooking and watching QVC. She especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents Lee and Lucille Smith; husband, Huey P. Hart; daughter Belinda Hart; brother-in-law Bill Ricks.

Survivors are her children, Stephon Hart and Doyle Hart; sister, Hoytense Ricks; grandsons Alton Hart and Dustin Hart; granddaughter Maranda Hart; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers who she thought of as daughters.
