Celebration of Life services for Louie (Buddy) Rutland will be on January 31th , 2025 at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven , MS at 3:00 PM .

Louie S Rutland, 92 years, of Monticello, MS passed from this life, on January 23, 2025. He was born in Lawrence County MS on February 14th, 1932 to Jessie V Rutland and Eula Lee Smith Rutland.

He worked for Shell Oil Company for 35 years before retiring and enjoying his passion for outdoors, farming and gardening.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Iva Rutland of Monticello MS, son Marty Rutland and Lana of Mckinney, TX.  Sister; Louise Strong of Monticello, MS. Granddaughters, Krystal Porter and Scott of Charleston SC, Lauren Egan and Daric of Cushing TX along with great grandchildren, Rhett Porter, Reid Porter, and John Luke Egan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie V Rutland and Eula Lee Smith Rutland. Brothers, Lester Rutland, Clifford Rutland, Calvin Rutland, Charles Rutland and Jerry Rutland, Sisters Jessie Rutland, Grace Conerly, Julia Conerly and Lura Lee Caul.
