February 3, 2023 Loretta Brister Spencer departed this world and entered her eternal home. She was born on May 24, 1928 in Lincoln County, MS to Lucius and Willie V. Brister. She leaves behind 3 sons, Perry E. Spencer (Delilah), Bruce Spencer (Angie) and Jimmy Spencer, son-in-law Tommy Errington; 12 beautiful grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Perry Calvin Spencer; her daughter Sue Spencer Errington; her mother and father, Willie V. Douglas Brister and Lucius Brister; her brother Bernard Brister; son-in-law Tommy Errington; and a great-great grandson Levi Givens.

Mrs. Loretta loved raising her children in her Christian home and working along side her husband on their dairy farm. She loved her church family and spending time with grandchildren. She was a near perfect example of what a Godly Mother should be.

The combination of old age and losing her husband took its toll on her body and mind and she spent her remaining time at Haven Hall Nursing Home where she was cared for by the nurses there. The family greatly appreciates the love and care given there. A special thanks goes to Hospice Ministries.
