Graveside services for Mrs. Loretta R. Callender will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, in Easthaven Cemetery. Bro. Stacy Adcock will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Callender, 89, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Sunday, May 17, 2020, in Brookhaven, MS. She was born on February 27, 1931 in Brookhaven, MS, to Horace Estel Reid and Maggie Hampton Reid. She enjoyed her flowers and working in her yard and flower bed. Mrs. Callender also enjoyed going to church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Horace and Maggie Reid; her husband, Clyde Eugene Callender; her son Eugene Callender; and 6 brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her sons, Darrell Callender and wife Beckie of Brookhaven, MS and Ralph Callender and wife Glada Jo of West Virginia; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister Evelyn Porter and husband David of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of family and friends.
