Private graveside services for Ms. Lorene Smith Baker will be held at Bethel Community Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Baker, 79, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi passed away on August 11, 2025. She was born in McCall Creek, Mississippi on April 26, 1946 to Clara Dunigan Smith.

She was preceded in death by her mother; two brothers, Oscar Smith and L.J. Smith; two sisters, Laverne Smith Calcote and Ruthie Smith.

Survivors include her son, Glen D. "Trey" Baker (Cyndi) of Royalton, IL; her daughter, Kathryn Baker Dupree of Sumrall, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Tristan, Caleb, Abbi, and Brayden; and one sister, Reba Smith Walters (Dennis); several beloved nephews, and her best buddy, Toby.
