Mrs. Lorena Geneva Dickerson died on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 11:57 AM at her home. She was born Lorena Geneva Cockerham on September 22, 1950 to Eugene and Lillian Cockerham in Baywood, Louisiana.

She married Deward James Dickerson on September 17, 1967. They were married 40 years. Mrs. Dickerson was a homemaker and worked in the food industry for several years.

Preceding her in death was her parents, Eugene and Lillian Cockerham; her husband Deward Dickerson; and 6 brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her brothers Roland, Rodney and Roger Cockerham; sister Lillian Rogers; brother-in-law Denver Dickerson; children Angela Smith and husband Michael of Morgantown, Kentucky, Freddie Dickerson of Summit, MS and Darrel Dickerson and wife Tammy of Summit, MS; 2 grandkids, Kassi and Faith Dickerson of Bogue Chitto, MS.

A memorial service will be held at Moak's Creek Baptist Church on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Since her wish was to be cremated no fresh flowers are needed. However, since she loved the farm so much, if you choose to: potted flowers, bulbs or small seedling trees will be accepted to be planted in her honor.
