Funeral services for Lola Taylor Douglas will be on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in the Rosehill Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Thomas Wicker will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday, March 4, 2022, from 1:00 PM until prior to service.

Mrs. Douglas, 91, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on February 24, 2022, at her home in the Enterprise Community to enter her Heavenly Home.  She was born on June 4, 1930, in Brookhaven, MS, to James Taylor and Annie H. Taylor. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and worked for many years with the GA's. Mrs. Lola enjoyed sewing, cooking, painting and crafting. There was nothing she could not do. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents James and Annie Taylor; husband, William David Douglas, Sr.; siblings Annie Ruth Catt and Jimmy Taylor; great grandchildren Issac Douglas Moore, Ava Grace Moore and Sarah Anna-Louise Case.

Survivors are her children, William David Douglas, Jr., Gary Douglas (Ann) and Winn Douglas (Gay); grandchildren, Angel Fauver, Tara Roberts (Mike), Laurie Beth Moore (David), Holly Francis (Jimmy), Julie Branning (Josh) and Haley Miller (Mike); 14 great-grandchildren and one due next week; 4 great-great grandchildren; and sister-in-law Nita Herrington (John).

The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support the last 7 months. And also a special thanks to Encompass Health-Hospice, her nurse Kim Roberts, her aid Alesha Lyons, and her sitters Phylis Francis and Wanda Stroud.
