Obituary

Funeral services for Lois Nadine Williams Chisholm will be on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Chad Yarborough will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Thursday, December 7, 2017, from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Chisholm, 89, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Monday, December 4, 2017, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 5, 1928, in Stonewall, OK, to Ira W. and Winnie Jennings Shepherd. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church; worked for many years as a hotel housekeeper supervisor in the oilfield industry; and enjoyed gospel singings, the Golden Oldies Group, the Ladies Birthday Club, and spending time with family and friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Danny Chisholm; son, Freddie Ray Hannah; daughters, Mickie Temple and Barbara Williams; son-in-law, Jimmy Powell; great great-grandson, Fisher Martin; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Survivors are her sons, Maxie Williams and wife Sandra of Brookhaven, MS, and Chucky Williams of Brookhaven, MS; daughter, Annette Perkins Powell of Vidalia, LA; sister, Margaret Sutton of Eupora, MS; sister-in-law, Lou Shepherd of Houston, MS; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren; special friends, Irene Lofton, Tami Womack, and Jennie Rollins; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Shane Hannah, Randy Hannah, Scott Williams, Shaun Perkins, Chris Williams, and Jeremy Hannah. Honorary pallbearers is Jamie Perkins and David Hugh Williams.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice Ministries.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Chisholm's name may be made to Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
