Linda Yvonne Wilson, 84, of Brookhaven, MS passed away in her home on October 31, 2026. She was born on August 15, 1942 to Albert Wilson and Anna Mae Williams.

The family will receive visitors at Southway Baptist Church (1107 S. Jackson St. Ext., Brookhaven, MS 39601) on Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Linda worked at Sears in Brookhaven for many years. She loved to sew and crochet, and could make anything from curtains to clothing and baby dolls to afghans. Linda also enjoyed tending her roses and flower beds, and was very proud of them both. She lived for her children and grandchildren, and was a loving, Christian lady who strived to show the love of Christ to others. Linda also enjoyed growing her garden with her late husband, Harvey, and they would make jelly and can the excess. Painting was also a hobby of Linda’s, and she created several canvas paintings. She truly will be loved and missed so much by all of those who knew her.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Wilson; grandchild, Hunter Rester; parents, Albert Wilson and Annie Mae Williams; and step-mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Barnes.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Daryl Rester and wife Michelle; daughter, Debra Wilson; granddaughter, Katelynn Smith; grandson, Casey Rester and wife Mackenzie; and great-grandchildren, Michaella, Hermione, and Luna Rester.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donation be made to Southway Baptist Church Building Fund for a Community Family Life Center (1107 South Jackson St. Ext., Brookhaven, MS 39601).
