Funeral services for Linda Smith Goza will start at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Prior to the service, public visitation will be open at Hillcrest from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Burial to immediately follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery.

Linda Smith Goza, 81, of Wesson, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9, 2025. She was born in Wesson, Mississippi, on April 11, 1943, to Cammie Lee Smith and Mildred (Stuart) Smith.

She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and enjoyed studying the Bible. She retired from her career as a bookkeeper and tax accountant. She enjoyed sports, watching the horses in the pasture, the birds in her bird feeders, and tending to her flowers.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her brother, James Ray Smith; her sister, Louise Sandifer; her son, James R. Goza; and her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Legg.

She is survived by her son, John (wife Keeli); her son-in-law, Daniel; her brother, Rodney (wife Mary); her sister, Anne, and numerous nieces and nephews, church family, and friends.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hillcrest Cemetery Yard Fund c/o Rodney Smith, 327 Breckenridge Lane NW, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
