Funeral services for Leruie Smith Smith will be on Friday, September 25, 2020, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS, at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Garland Boyd will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Macedonia Baptist Church on Friday, September 25, 2020, from 11:00 AM   until 1:00 PM.

Mrs. Smith, 88, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at her home.  She was born on February 24, 1932 in Brookhaven, MS, to Fred Smith and Mantha S. Smith. She was a life-long member of Macedonia Baptist Church and worked for many years as the owner/operator of the Country Meat Market. She enjoyed working in her yard and visiting the Smokey Mountains. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents Fred and Mantha Smith; husband Edwin "Ed" B. Smith; son Keith Smith; daughter-in-law Rhonda Gillis Smith; brother Solon Smith and wife Johnnie.

Survivors are her son, Danny Fred Smith; grandchildren, Lacey Smith Zumbro (Lee), Dustin Smith (Leah) and Marcie Smith Tapper (Shane);  great-grandchildren, Dawson Zumbro, Baylee Zumbro, Paxton Zumbro, Harley Smith, Rocco Smith, Cooper Smith, Kaitlyn Tapper, Mallory Tapper and Cayman Tapper; sister Elsie Anding; brothers Morris Smith, Freddie Smith (Helen) and Shelby Smith (Betty Jo); and a host of family and friends.
