Graveside services for Mrs. Lee Dean Bass will be on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS, at 11:00 AM. Bro. Ronnie Lofton will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Monday, August 2, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Bass, 79, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at home with her loving family by her side.  She was born on July 26, 1942, in Calhoun City, MS, to Leamon Lee Smallwood and Clydene Patterson Smallwood. She was an active member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ Church. She was a homemaker. Dean enjoyed quilting and gave most of quilts to those in need. She loved her family. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents Lee and Clydene Smallwood; grandson John Tyler Steele and granddaughter Laura Elizabeth Terrell.

Survivors are her husband of 52 years Aubrey Hilton Bass; daughter Cathy Nadene Dunn; sons Greg Bass (Diana) and Justin Bass (Carole); 4 grandchildren; 7  great-grandchildren; sisters Jerry Dixon and Joan Coleman; brothers Larry Smallwood and Michael Smallwood; and a host of family and friends.
