Graveside services for Mrs. Laura Frances Brewer Britt will be on Friday, May 15, 2020, at 10:00 AM in the Red Star Ward Cemetery. Bishop Randall Sones will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Britt, 86, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS.  She was born on August 22, 1933, in Sandhill, MS, to George Washington Brewer and Myra Brewer where she lived until her marriage at the age of 18.  She babysat most of her grandchildren until they began school.  She loved her family, gardening, preserving fruits and vegetables, and cooking.  Some of her best times in life were organizing and cooking for her family's holidays and birthday celebrations.  She loved nothing better than spending these times surrounded by her family.  She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Laura Frances loved studying the scriptures and serving in various callings of the Red Star Ward.  Two of her favorite callings were Relief Society President and being a Sunday School teacher.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother.  She will be missed and cherished by all of her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Heber Andrew Britt; and her brother Nathan Brewer.

Survivors are her children, Jennifer Britt King and husband Larry, Bruce Andrew Britt and wife Tammie, and Darrell Britt; 9 grandchildren, Clay King, Jeremy King and wife Rachel, Kyle King and wife Heather, Seth Britt and wife Nikki, Jared Britt and wife Heather, Sarah Britt, Laura McKay and husband Joseph, Leah Fraysur and husband Ben, and Lydia Britt, as well as 6 great grandchildren, Drew King, Ethan King, Ember Britt, Ezra Britt, Jonah Britt, and Brooklyn Britt; her brother George W. Brewer and wife Elaine, her 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Nell Brewer and Almarie Britt; and a host of family and friends.
