Funeral services for Larry Gene Keene will be on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 1 :00 PM with burial to follow in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in East Lincoln Community. Bro. Randy Davis will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM.

Mr. Keene, 67, passed from this life on Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born on February 22, 1949 in Brookhaven, MS, to Willie E. and Nonnee Rushing Keene. He was a retired loan manager from Commercial Credit in Brookhaven, MS. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, outdoors, pool and socializing. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Willie E. and Nonnee Rushing Keene.

Survivors are his son, Dustin Keene and wife Carol of Brookhaven, MS/Pigeon Forge, TN; brothers, James D. Keene and wife Sylvia of Brookhaven, MS, Donald E. Keene and wife Hannah of Brookhaven, MS, and Martin K. Keene and wife Debbie of Brookhaven, MS; sister, Diane Keene Harris of Brookhaven, MS; grandchild, Dustin Hunter Keene; step-grandchildren, Justin Allbritton and Emily Allbritton; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
