OBITUARY

Mrs. Kathleen Starr Martin,73 of McCall Creek, MS passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, at her home. Kathy was born on October 28, 1952, in Houston, TX, to George James Starr and Mary Ellen Granberry Starr.

The family will receive visitors for a memorial service at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven, MS from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Kathy enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises and activities on board. She was an avid Houston Astros fan. She had a large family and loved being around them.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Louis Martin; and her parents, George and Mary Ellen Starr.

Kathy is survived by her children, Brian Gobar, Megan Clark, and Ben Gobar; grandchildren Dion Milton, Emily Clark, Gabrielle Gobar, and Camille Gobar; sisters, Patsy Shaw, Margie Stinson, and Debbie Fredenberg; brothers Jim Starr and Mike Starr; beloved nieces and nephews; and her friends and neighbors, Marc and Peggy Cargo.
