Funeral services for Katherine Elizabeth Smith will be held at New Bethel Jesus Name Church (Jayess, MS) on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 2:00 in the afternoon; a time of visitation will precede the services beginning at 12 o'clock noon and continuing until service time. Graveside services will follow in the Powells Grove Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Pastor Gary Robinson will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Katherine Elizabeth Smith was born to Bren Smith and Cassie Sessums Smith at the University of Mississippi Medical Center on September 27, 2024 at 8:16 AM; a few minutes later she went to be with the Lord and a host of saved loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Glyn O. "Hobo" and June Smith.

Survivors include her parents; one brother, Everette Glen Smith; grandparents, Glenn Sessums and Sherry Sessums; great-grandparents, Roy and Kathy Hall, Darrell and Sheila Ryals; aunts, Hallie Sessums, Deloris "Doeshee" Adams, and Wanez Rutland; an uncle, Dustin Sessums and wife, Abby; Pops and Mops, Scott and Regina Battle; Poppa and Nonna, Marlin and Margrit Wallace; special cousins, Garrett and Tori Hellums; and a host of loving extended family, church family, and friends of the family.
