Karen Lofton, 77 of Bogue Chitto, MS passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at her residence in Bogue Chitto, MS. She was born Sunday, July 13, 1947 in Waterloo, Iowa.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 9:00 AM until service time at Friendship Baptist Church in 1502 Friendship Lane NW, Brookhaven, MS. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Friendship Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Brother Johnny Sykes will officiate. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-833-1441

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Lofton; father, Harold Pierce; mother, Jackie Steiman; grandmother, Ruby Lofton; nephew, Richard Crosby.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Lofton of Bogue Chitto, MS; son, Jamie Hart; daughter, Angela Corker (Rick); grandchildren, Stephanie Hauler (Mike), Kristine Beard (Mark) and Kansas Bluem (Drew); sister, Tina Hanson; son-in-law, Daniel Zuniga; sister-in-law, Deloris Crosby (Bo); and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to pastors Johnny Sikes and Jacob Glasz.

Special thanks to Arden Hospice, Nurses Brittany, Natalie, and team for the amazing care and compassion provided. They are truly angels on earth.
